The Flight of the Pacific Peregrine
Steve Fossett becomes the first person to fly a balloon across the Pacific
Ocean solo. His flight sets a new absolute distance record for balloons and
demonstrates that it does not take millions of dollars and large support
staff to make a successful long distance flight.
Ascension in Asunción
David Monson jumps at an opportunity to be the first balloonist to free
fly a balloon in Paraguay, South America. In the process he learns some valuable
lessions about flying in an unknown area.
