Balloon Passion Communication, Albuquerque, New Mexico, has produced a first of a kind balloon stamp resource, the Balloon Stamp Album. This album is a historical account of world-wide events in ballooning represented by postage stamps. Printed in black and white, the stamps coincide with a short synopsis of history text in both English and French.
The stamp album is printed one side on a heavy stock and has a three hole punch on the left side. Created by Jean-Michel Bertrand, founder of Balloon Passion and author of Yearbook ’92, One Year ballooning around the world, the album is designed to provide the stamp collector with black and white pictures of balloon stamps and some historical text. The initial set contains 48 pages including the cover and two advertisement pages. Future offerings are planned to cover the entire spectrum of balloon stamps that have been issued.
The Balloon Stamp Album is available directly from Balloon Passion Communications, 7513 C Penn Lane, NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110, phone (505) 884- 8572. Price is $25 plus $3 for shipping.
