Putting Out That Positive Image of Ballooning

by Tina Reeves

Putting out that positive image of ballooning does take a little effort and in this day when all we seem to hear about is the sensationalism of balloon accidents that extra effort will be well worth it to us all.

Braving the heat index of 108 degrees Scott & Cynthia Wooge, Frank and Kimm Blair, Randy Wagnon, Sherry Ireland, Don Stibor, Keith Reeves and all the crew did a night-glow to help raise money for Make-A-Wish. The night-glow was held at the beautiful Marina in Alton, Illinois as part of the Lighted Boat Regatta.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation is the largest and most respected wish-granting organization in the world. It exists for one purpose: to fulfill the special wishes of children under the age of 18 who have life-threatening illnesses. I dedicated this event in memory of balloonist Wes Rinker. Anyone wanting to make contributions to Make-A-Wish can do so at the following address: Make-A-Wish Foundation of America, 100 W. Clarendon Avenue, Ste. 2200, Phoenix, AZ 85013.
